Following this week’s tragic earthquake disaster in New Zealand, Sony have decided to pull the upcoming MotorStorm Apocalypse from releasing in the country.
The decision was made “out of respect for those affected by the earthquake,” as retailers put it. A potential release later down the line was not ruled out however.
Apocalypse is still on for a March 16 release in the UK and the rest of Europe, with the US following in April.

Bulletstorm launches worldwide this week and Gears of War 3 fans are sure to be scooping up 360 copies for access to the upcoming multiplayer beta. If you somehow miss out on the game though, fear not; there will be other chances to get in.
Gears producer Rod Fergusson was asked via Twitter if one could get into the beta without Bulletstorm, to which he replied: “Yes but you’ll miss out on the exclusive headstart and some cool exclusive content.”
Fergusson also promised that beta news would be incoming this week.
Remember to pick up Bulletstorm this week if you need that Gears 3 fix pronto… or if you just want a good game to play.

Last year DICE released Battlefield: Bad Company 2, as well as working on both Medal of Honor and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. It’s obvious that they like to keep their hands busy, which is why it should come as no surprise that the team are developing projects other than the upcoming Battlefield 3.
In a studio tour with GameInformer, general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson revealed: “You’re here today to have a first look at Battlefield 3. We do have other secret projects that I can’t talk about right now.”
With Mirror’s Edge 2 recently put on hold, these other projects are a bit of a mystery. Battlefield: Bad Company 3 perhaps?
