Here’s a quickie but a goodie.
Big news on the Call of Duty front today; Activision’s sent over a set of dog tags (below) with a link to the website findmakarov.com. The bloody tags also included the message “end the war” along with the details of Sheperd, one of the villains from 2009′s Modern Warfare 2.
What’s on the website you ask? A countdown, currently sitting at just under 5 days. A quick flash of the Modern Warfare 2 villain appears when you load up the page. You may well remember that Makarov made it all the way through the last game. Guess that’s a Modern Warfare 3 reveal next week then.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is back in charge of the UK’s weekly all-formats sales chart, denying newcomer Marvel vs Capcom 3 the desired spot. The Activision shooter surged +192% last week and has now spent a total of eight weeks as #1 (just one week short of Modern Warfare 2‘s nine).
The #2 position shouldn’t matter much to Capcom though as MvC3 has already nearly matched the lifetime sales of its 2002 predecessor.
Not much more excitement this week; last week’s #1 Test Drive Unlimited 2 slips to #4 as Dead Space 2 inches in at #3 after a 61% boost in sales.
Top 10 follows.
1. Call of Duty: Black Ops
2. Marvel vs Capcom 3
3. Dead Space 2
4. Test Drive Unlimited 2
5. FIFA 11
6. Just Dance 2
7. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
8. Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!
9. Grand Teft Auto IV: Complete Edition
10. LittleBigPlanet 2

Guitar Hero mixed up some controversy in 2009 when its slew of titles allowed for famous artists to perform songs that they hadn’t written on screen. This option didn’t go down well with rock band No Doubt, who filed a lawsuit claiming that the feature was a breach of their contract with Activision. The group were featured in Band Hero.
Activision’s bid for the right to creative expression was recently thrown out of court by a three-judge panel, meaning No Doubt has been given the go-ahead to pursue their lawsuit. With Guitar Hero dead and buried, for the time being at least, we can only imagine that Activision are wanting to get such lawsuits out of the way.
